07/02/04 Splendid specimens of Cape Aloe 'Aloe forox' in the Warm Temperate Biome.

 

07/02/04 Leguminosae 'Fabaceae' Inga spp. in the HTB. These trees have many uses, their fruits are edible, they provide shade and are also used for timber and fuel. They are related to peas and help to turn nitrogen from the atmosphere into plant food, using the bacteria that live in their roots.

07/02/04 A different view of flag mania at Eden.

 

07/02/04 Eden has always been famous for it's flags. Now for something different, thousands of small flags which have all been made by the staff over the quieter periods of the winter months.

Shades of coloured flags gently blend yellow through to gold and blues to reds.
