28/06/09 Crowds of visitors gathered to watch and take photos.

 

28/06/09 Tashi Lhunpo Monks, constructing a Tibetan 'Big Lunch' Sand Mandala.  A type of pipe funnel made of metal about 16 inches long has circular rips, that when filled with coloured sand and vibrated gently lets a small amount of coloured sand trickle from the end.

28/06/09 'The Nest', a tangled web, has got to be the most exciting climbing frame.  Coming later in the year is 'The Pipe' a giant 22m tubular slide in Eden's outdoor landscape.

20/06/09 As the setting sun dips below the horizon party goers arrive for Eden's Mid Summer Supper Club.

 

20/06/09 The band, 'Smerins Anti-Social Club' set up and test their gear early ready for around 10pm.  On the BBQ Jerk chicken, Marinated fish, vegetable Kebabs also summer salads and paella are on the menu.

 

20/06/09 Brisk business at the BBQ as the last of the party goers watch the sun set.

 

20/06/09 Some chose to eat in the Zubb Zubb cafe and then on to the Salsa Demonstration with music from DJ Griff.

 

20/06/09 Children played hide and seek in the illumined gardens and this is also a good place for a beer and to talk to friend on a summers evening.

20/06/09 Everyone had a good time even the philatelic cow, (which I met on the way up the zig zag path) seemed to be hoofing it.  Look forward to the next Supper Club?

 

18/06/09 Eden's entrance with beautiful blooms.  It that time of year to get the flags out again.

 

18/06/09 Flags are being erected all around the Arena ready for Saturday Evening.

 

18/06/09 The huge stage has been built, this is where Oasis, Kasabian, Razorlight, Paul Weller and the Kooks will perform next month.  Eden's Strawberries are looking good.

 

18/06/09 At the Eden's friends desk the highly efficient 'Carol' and new Volunteer 'Jan' help visitors to register their membership cards and answer any enquires that come their way.  

 

18/06/09 'Say it with Flowers' display in the Med Biome. Story telling with Dave also took place in the Med Biome.

 

18/06/09 'I know I lost my earring in here some where', well no, its selective weeding of the most delicate kind.

 

18/06/09 Stocks in the Med Biome and a lovely display of roses and Clematis outside.

 

18/06/09 Eden's gardens have some wonder blooms this year.

18/06/09 Don't go home with out your box of 'Smite' form the Eden shop. Carol found the cow in the daylight and here's Carol's picture, see if you can find the cow when you visit Eden.

 

10/06/09 So good to see the smiling face of 'Bex' around Eden again.  Sun shines at Eden as visitors get their first look at the Biomes from the viewing platform.

 

10/06/09 The stage is being built early this year ready for the Session, that are mostly in July I wonder if there may be other things happing on the stage before then.

 

10/06/09 Eden's gardens are looking magnificent with lots of early summer colour.

 

10/06/09 Almost hiding in the Banrock garden are suburb clematis of all shapes and sizes.

 

10/06/09 There's much more to Eden then just the Biomes.

 

10/06/09 In the Med Biome flowers fill the air with fragrance.

 

10/06/09 Peaches in the Biome and the first sweet peas are in bloom outside.

 

10/06/09 Something I rarely do to any of my pictures of Eden, 'what you see is what get' in all but this one!

 

07/06/09 Yes it's the Race for Life at Eden and all smiles at the start.

 

07/06/09 One of the first to complete the 5 miles run.

03/05/09  The Eden is hosting the 4th International Male Voice Choir Festival 2009.

 

30/04/09 Sun shines again on Eden and good number of visitors arrive to enjoy.

 

30/04/09 The orange trees in the Med Biome are beginning to flower.

 

30/04/09 In the Eden gardens everything from delicate tulips to vibrant orange blooms by the pond all add to the colour.
