01/05/02 These "jelly petals" look unreal, but April, one of the first to grow these successfully outside the frozen wastes of the Tundra, assures me they are indeed living plants.

15/04/02 In the WTB The smell of Orange blossom fills the air and tall stalks of yellow flowers beckons you to the far end of the biome. This is the biome of treats for the nose!

15/04/02 Mickey Mouse Plant (left) Ochna Kirkii The flowers and bracts (modified leaves) explain the strange name. The bright coloured flowers attract the birds for pollination.

05/04/02 The Gallery Restaurant in The Visitor Centre offers an excellent selection - from healthy breakfasts with Eden muesli and fresh fruit, through to "naughty but nice" afternoon cream teas.
