05/02/07 Titan Arum in full bloom in the Rain Forest biome.

 

03/02/07  During this exceptionally mild early February the daffodils are already making a good display. In the Rain Forest Biome the jungle is coming into flower.

 

03/02/07 Crowds gather to see the Titan Arum, expected to flower, maybe tomorrow?

 

03/02/07 It's a good time to visit the Rainforest Biome. (HTB)

25/01/07 Matthew Biggs, gardening broadcaster, writer and lecturer, chaired a panel of Eden's gardeners who were happy to answer questions put to them from a packed audience of Eden friends.  It was a very lively and entertaining evening packed with plant information and laughter.

 

25/01/07 Matthew's superb book 'Gardening at Eden' which is full of wonderful photographs by Caroline Hughes. (pictured above on the right)

 

20/01/07 The yellow glow of spring is spreading it's way over Eden.

 

20/01/07 In the humid mists of the HTB huge buds are beginning to show signs of growth on the 'Arum Titan', which, although only flowering once in every 7 years can claim to produce the biggest flower world-wide.

 

14/01/07 The first of the early Daffodils are blooming in the sunshine at Eden.

 

14/01/07 The Core building will soon be receiving the huge granite seed stone into it's centre 'Core'.  School and public ice skating continues on the rink.

 

14/01/07 Spring is surely on it's way and Eden will again be ablaze with colour.

 

14/01/07 Snowdrops opposite the Core and 'Candelabra Aloe' in the WTB.

 

02/01/07 New Years Market with The Eden Shop in the back ground. Early fragrant blossoms are in bloom as you walk down to the steps to the Ice Rink.

 

02/01/07 The first of the early daffodils about to burst open. Clearing away an exhibit in the WTB to make way for seasonal planting.

 

02/01/07 In the mists on the HTB a ripe banana sits on a table. The Arcade of Ideas opens it's doors and is a hit with all that enter.  (all exhibits are token driven and tokens are free)

 

02/01/07 It's all lots of fun, but there's a message that comes through while you play.

 

02/01/07 Drive a tractor and avoid knocking over a farmer or even a cow.

 

21/12/06 Eden on the shortest day of the year.  Young spring greens just catching the sun.

 

21/12/06 Broccoli in all shapes and sizes thriving in the winter sun.

 

21/12/06 The Knitted Christmas Tree has been moved from the Link Building into the Core so as it can be displayed at it's full height.

 

16/12/06 Local Cornish people waiting to get their £5 passport. This is a special concession to help the locals enjoy Eden all year round.

 

16/12/06 Prize winning Jams and pickles on sale at the Eden market shop.

 

14/12/06 Mike Bosworth in the Core with friends of Eden. An evening of Cornish folk songs The Turning of the Year.  Friends of Eden helping out with the chorus of some of the songs.

 

08/12/06 Despite Christmas being almost upon us the spring bulbs are already thrusting through the surface at Eden.

 

08/12/06 The Weee man returns to Eden this time standing guard over the WTB  The famous (now been on the TV) Eden robin poses for pictures whilst singing a spring song.

 

08/12/06 A magnificent, lofty hand knitted Christmas Tree is virtually touching the roof of the Link Buildings. more than 1000 knitters have contributed towards this amazing work of art and more than £10,000 has already been raised for the local hospice.

 

29/11/06 First of the spring bulbs to flower the Paper-white Daffodil.  Story telling in the Warm Temperate Biome.

 

The Menton Orange and Lemon festival display in the Warm Temperate Biome.
